Students will begin by learning a brief history of the tradition and reading examples of Haiku, after which each participant will write Haiku on several different topics. By the end of the class students will be comfortable expressing thoughts and images with essential words, and will be familiar with the rhythm of the traditional Haiku syllable structure.
