When: Thursdays, October 23 - November 13, 2025, from 7-8:30pm (4 Classes)

Where: Old School Makerspace (2659 Eisenhauer Rd.)

What: Seasoned artists and beginners alike will learn techniques in one of the most forgiving mediums: pastel pencils. Pastels prepare students for more advanced mediums like oil painting or can create masterpieces all on their own! Each class includes instruction and work time with one-on-one tutoring. Opt for two of the classes or all four in the tuition section.

Week 1: The Sketch: Prepping, references, sketching
Week 2: Color Theory: layering, blending, best practices
Week 3: The Background: composition, focal point, anchoring
Week 4: The Finished Product: fine tuning, preservation

Age Requirement: 14 years old and up

Cost: $90, with the option to purchase a half package for $45. If you purchase the half package, you may choose 2 of the 4 classes to attend.

This class will run with a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 30. If this class does not receive sufficient registration, you will be notified the week of the class and your tuition will be refunded.

If requesting a partial scholarship, please indicate what portion of the tuition you can afford to pay.
